During these seven weeks, Winterland Ascona-Locarno offers a varied programme of experiences for all ages. In Locarno, Piazza Grande comes alive with the ice rink, concerts, shows, light installations, family attractions and gastronomic offerings, joined by the new Santa’s House. In Ascona, the lakefront is transformed into a winter setting featuring the spectacular 700-metre ice trail, the Lake Dome and atmospheric light displays on the historic façades.
The new fairy tale “A Melody of Light” provides a common thread between the two locations, accompanying the Winterland experience through lights and projections and creating a shared winter world between Ascona and Locarno.
The aromas of mulled wine, Christmas tea and a wide range of culinary delights fill the air.
