The cup-marked stones of Ligünc, Pizzo Zucchero and the Salei pond.
The Onsernone Valley is among the wildest and most authentic valleys of the Canton Ticino. It also hides highly significant energy points, and this excursion takes you to discover them.
In Comologno, notable are the Church of St. John the Baptist and the Via Crucis, the latter a true small energizing pilgrimage.
In Ligünc, a rural hamlet resting on a wide natural terrace, there are several cup-marked stones believed to have had a purpose in the observation of the stars in the past. Most of these are located just before the hamlet, on the left, near a small rocky promontory.
Continuing, shortly beyond you enter a dense forest of larches and firs enveloping you with their scent and protecting you from the sun until you almost reach Alpe Salei. From here, Pizzo Zucchero, an extremely panoramic and energetic point, is just a few minutes away. It is interesting to know that between the two peaks, the one on the right is more energetic and in the small central hollow there is a beneficial geomantic area, probably considered as such since Celtic times. Try to observe the arrangement of the stones.
Then you reach the Salei pond, the quintessential energy place of the Onsernone Valley. Here, on the right, with due care, you may come across some cup-marked stones (always an important testimony of practices and rituals), but the whole area around the pond has a beautiful energy. Those who meditate in this area know it well. Let yourself be surprised.
To conclude, continue towards Alpe Pesced, where you can still find some interesting energy rocks.
Warning: In the area of the Alpe Salei hut and the alpine pond of Salei there are flocks guarded by protection dogs.
