Alzasca Trail

Ascona-Locarno Tourism Verified partner
Explanation
A smooth path leads from the pass up to 2135 m; the trail then begins the steep descent with some challenging sections, but with a view of Lake Sascola, a pearl set in rock.
The lake is crystal clear and is worth a visit for a short but refreshing dip. There follows a fairly technical path to Rotonda (1268 m) then Tacitt (668 m). The path then brings you back to Cevio via Rovana.
Derived from the technical difficulty and the stamina requirements.
